Mr. Rez Rahim is a skilled Spine, Hip and Knee Surgeon. He has received international fellowship training in complex spine surgery, which includes minimally invasive techniques, deformity correction, hip and knee replacements, and advanced microscopic and endoscopic spinal surgery.
As a dedicated spine surgeon, Mr. Rahim focuses on improving outcomes for geriatric patients. Following the completion of prestigious fellowships, including one with Professor Peter Varga in Budapest, he specialised in spinal tumor surgeries such as En-Bloc resection and sacrectomies. Additionally, he further honed his skills at the Neurosurgical Unit at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University in Seoul.
Moreover, Mr. Rahim is an active researcher with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals. He regularly presents at international conferences, contributing to the global medical community. Being fluent in English, Russian, Sinhalese, and basic Indonesian enables him to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of his practice, Mr. Rahim supports the ‘Foundation of Goodness‘. They provide education and employment opportunities to underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. This dedication to charity aligns with his commitment to kindness and patient care, reflecting his altruistic values.
In addition to his medical career, Mr. Rahim is a former international rugby player. Passionate about the sport, he continues to support the Wallabies. Living in Berwick with his two young sons, he balances family life and his professional commitments. His charity work and fundraising efforts have earned him recognition at Buckingham Palace.
